Our founders were trained in the halls of large, globally recognized architecture firms. There they mastered the ins and outs of large scale architectural productions. The two decided to embark on their own journey — carving out their own niche in the industry. By some measures, Fowler is a small operation — but our size is a virtue. Our lean staff of visionary designers is nimble, approachable, responsive and responsible. At the same time, we have the experience and know-how to deliver on an industrial scale.
Our ability to fast track large complex project to execute high-end and custom designs with fabricators working with cutting-edge technologies bring a high level of design and execution to all scales. We offer conception-to-completion services and bolster our own expertise with a hand-picked bench of phenomenally talented artisans and tradespeople. No matter the scope and scale of a project, Fowler strives to deliver an environment that isn’t just occupied — but experienced.

EMMA FOWLER
Emma Fowler is a highly accomplished architect and interior designer with an extensive career spanning over a decade. Renowned for exceptional skills in architectural millwork, furniture and concept narratives, she has an innate talent for infusing spaces with captivating storytelling paired with impeccable attention to detail. Her diverse portfolio showcases a deep commitment to excellence, ensuring that each project harmoniously blends aesthetics and functionality. Prior to starting her own firm she was a Project Director at SHoP Architects, contributing to numerous hospitality projects including restaurants, bars, hotels, multi-family residential, workplace and mixed-use projects.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Interior Design and is a licensed Architect.
MICHELLE FOWLER
Michelle Fowler is a seasoned architect with a distinguished career; one defined by a relentless commitment to innovation as well as the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. She has consistently been at the forefront of architectural advancement— pioneering new approaches to create spaces that are not only visually stunning, but also technologically sophisticated. Over the course of her training at some of the field's leading institutions, Michelle developed a strong foundation in traditional design principles. Her curiosity and passion for technology then led her to explore the uncharted territory of architectural innovation: incorporating state-of-the-art materials, digital modeling, and sustainable systems into her projects, creating spaces that are responsive to the needs of the modern world.
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the School of Visual Arts, and a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute. She is a licensed Architect.

A place where people feel alive, whether they’re in the space for an hour or a lifetime. To us, designed environments should do more than just meet the eye.
When function flows from experience, the result is a space that reads as organic, that conveys authenticity, that feels greater than the sum of its parts. Fowler approaches projects with curiosity, as if every assignment were our first. This keeps us from falling back on old habits or limiting our creativity.
Environmental sensitivity is foundational to our thinking, as are positivity, optimism and aesthetic ambition. No matter the size of our projects, we design them to succeed at the human scale, and we emphasize tactile, natural options when determining details like color, texture and materiality.

We bolster our aesthetic efforts with the latest digital design and project management tools.
